About Jamal East

Jamal is a fashion stylist, creative director, and IATSE local 705 costumer based in Los Angeles, CA and New York, NY. He has a love for designing imagery with fashion and telling stories through the lens of costume. Jamal uses his styling voice to highlight the underrepresented in fashion media. His educational studies powered his collaborative spirit, graduating with a BFA in fashion styling from the Academy of Art University 2020 where he spent his studies learning the art of collaboration.

Jamal is a multifaceted stylist. He has successfully worked with actors, music artists, influencers, models (signed and street cast), corporate companies, brands, athletes and fashion magazines. These projects include feature films, music videos, commercials, fashion editorials, e-commerce, and product/off-figure styling. When wearing his creative director crown, he infuses his proficiency in photography, fashion, art direction, and marketing to produce awe-inspiring imagery.

His beautiful peaceful temperament and an array of skills, Jamal handles every production with precision and all talents with care.
